The 18th International Master Course of Phlebology in Riga

During last weekend I had an honor to be a participant and a faculty of the 18th International Master Course of Phlebology in Riga which was organized by Prof. Uldis Maurins, the President of Baltic Society of Phlebology.

The main objective of the meeting was to review and compare the most recent thermal and nonthermal endovenous methods of treatment of saphenous vein.

The course consisted of two lecture days when participants could clarify their doubts and workshops during which the faculties performed in total 36 different endovenous procedures, such as MOCA, Flebogriff, long catheter sclerotherapy, glue and laser ablation (1940 nm, 2Ring fibre and new Radial swift fibre).

I had a pleasure to perform six long catheter ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy demonstration treatments and also give two lectures on this topic.

Everything was organized perfectly and the atmosphere was really great! I would like to congratulate the organizers and thank for their hospitality.

🇵🇱 Podczas ostatniego weekendu miałam zaszczyt być uczestnikiem i wykładowcą na the 18th International Master Course of Phlebology w Rydze, zorganizowanym przez Prof. Uldisa Maurins, Prezesa Baltic Society of Phlebology.

Głównym celem spotkania był przegląd i porównanie najnowszych termicznych i nietermicznych wewnątrzżylnych metod leczenia niewydolności żylnej.

Kurs składał się z dwóch dni wykładowych oraz warsztatów praktycznych, podczas których wykładowcy przeprowadzili łącznie 36 zabiegów wewnątrzżylnych.

Miałam przyjemność przeprowadzić sześć pokazowych zabiegów skleroterapii z zastosowaniem długiego cewnika i tumescencji oraz wygłosić dwa wykłady. Kurs był wyśmienicie zorganizowany, a atmosfera naprawdę miła.
